  • Lead cost optimisation and best value through system standardisation, design reviews, and identification of innovative, cost-effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with contractors, external engineers, and internal project teams to ensure systems meet utility, cybersecurity, and off-taker requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with cyber-security standards for industrial control systems
  • Validate technical documentation, including functional design specifications, communication protocols, and IP address lists.
  • Review and challenge SCADA/control designs to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and CAPEX/OPEX reduction.
  • Support testing processes (FAT/SAT) and oversee system implementation, ensuring performance aligns with specifications.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues during design review, construction, and commissioning phases.
  • Work with protocols including DNP3, IEC61850, Modbus, and OPC to ensure seamless system integration.
  • Collaborate with Asset Management, Grid, and Operational Technology teams to optimise real-time performance monitoring and reporting.
  • Stay current with advancements in SCADA, control systems, and cost-effective technologies for renewable projects.
  • Mentor junior engineers, providing technical oversight and ensuring consistency across projects.
